DuBois in 1903 that reflects the responsibility of those who have overcome barriers and obstacles to show the way to others so that they can have a successful life. Jesus said,” You will always have the poor among you, but you will not always have me” as a way of teaching the importance of how to appreciate and prioritize the relationships in our life. By making our relationship with God our top priority we can then benefit from the promise that Jesus made when He declared that if He is lifted up, He will then be able to draw all men. Therefore, if we do not want people to pull us down then we should take every opportunity that we have to lift Jesus up to them
