Have you ever sacrificed what you want, or thought, to meet the need of another? Have you ever stepped outside of your comfort zone? Have you ever had to stretch yourself emotionally, physically, or intellectually to help a person or group complete a task? These are just a few of the things that exemplify the ways that we love. God has shown us how to love by His example of sending His only Son to be a sacrificial offering for our sins. We show the world that He is Lord of our life through our submission to His Will. One of the evidences of that submission is in the way that we love one another. Remember, love is what it does more so than what it says. What are the things that unconditional love will make you do?

Who can I share with the most wonderful thing that I know? What do they look like? What should I say or do? These are the type of questions that we consider when we begin to share our faith. Consider the king who invited special guests to his feast but they all had excuses for why they could not come. He proceeded to open the feast up to those who were in the highways and byways and were willing to come. Who you think may listen may not and those who you think are not willing to listen just might. Take your testimony to the street.
In order to live a holy life requires the understanding that is the type of life that God has always intended for us to live. His Objective has been to have a meaningful and eternal fellowship with us in a bond of holiness and righteousness. We glorify Him through this relationship. However, sin has created an obstacle for this to be accomplished. Sin gives life to guilt, fear, pride, envy and all of the other manifestations of the flesh that entangle us each day. The Only One who has ever lived a sin-free life is Jesus and it is because of His great love and sacrifice that we are able to live a holy life. Once we acknowledge and accept His Lordship over our life we are now abiding in Him and His Love. In other words, we have become a part of His Body which is coursing with the soul cleansing Blood of the Lamb which has the power to wash away the stain of our sin. When we are made clean, we are made holy and can now live a holy life because He, Jesus, is Holy.
To get to where you want to be will require the ability to identify and maneuver around the obstacles on your journey. It is convenient to just do things the way you want, or know, how to do them, but that does not guarantee success. A person who has an addiction problem that they are not aware of does tremendous damage to those around them and themselves. They tend to think that they can handle their habits without the benefit of getting outside help. The Bible says in Ecclesiastes that there is no new knowledge under the sun, therefore, there must be available information to improve each person’s quest. The greatest resource we have is God’s Word, yet there are many times we look for something else. Connect with the Author and the Finisher of your faith so that the navigation necessary to get to your life destination will be assisted by the One who made the course.
