The necessity of the effective and efficient flow of communication is to the local church what the flow of blood is to the human body. It carries important things throughout the entire system. Whether it is fresh, oxygenated blood or a praise report, both are beneficial for the rest of the body to be working properly. Just as the brain sends signals to the entire body on how to function, Christ is the head of the Church who sends signals for things to work in the local congregation. The brain sends signals to the heart so that the fresh blood can reach all parts of the body, God sends signals to apostles, prophets, pastors, evangelists, and teachers so that His Word, Care, Concern, Comfort and Challenge can reach all parts of the local assembly. When things go wrong in the body it sends a message to the brain which then dispatches antibodies through the circulatory system to combat the ailment. When something happens in the local congregation God established for deacons to hear the concerns of the people so that the information that is given to the messengers will elicit the right request to be responded to. When there is a blockage or breakage in the flow of blood in the body this can lead to numerous bad side effects such as, heart attack, stroke, embolism, or even death. When the flow of information breaks down in the local church the results can be just as catastrophic, therefore, it is extremely important for the children of God to obey what the Word says in regards to sharing our concerns with God and one another. When we truly trust that God will keep us in perfect peace we will then be able to face every situation and circumstance with the peace that surpasses all understanding. Stand on His Promises!
