When We Know Him, He Will Listen

It would be unusual to expect a tree surgeon to be assigned to remove your appendix.  It would be strange to watch a carpenter try to make your wedding cake.  It is just as unproductive as expecting God to    answer the prayer of someone who does not believe in Him.  Knowing God is necessary for Him to repair your situation.  The only prayer that God will hear from an unbeliever is the one when they repent for being an unbeliever.  Unbelievers would laugh and scoff at God for fixing their problems.  When we were not saved, many of us thought that we could not be saved or even have a chance to get to know God.  But one day He changed us, and we now have direct access to Him through His Son.  Since He is the Author and Finisher of our faith, He knows precisely what to do for us.  Now, we can rejoice because we know God better than we knew Him before.  Better still, is knowing that when we talk to Him, He will listen.
